The Healy Group is a global supplier and distributor of high quality food ingredients and raw materials. The company also offers third party warehousing facilities for a range of companies.

The Scenario

Having secured a significant order with a new customer for the bulk reception, storage, re-drumming and distribution of caramel, the company urgently needed to upgrade its warehouse management system to achieve greater efficiency and reliability.

The Solution

The Healy Group called in MACS Software. It knew the company to have a good reputation and, as it was based locally, it was the obvious choice. MACS Software worked with The Healy Group quickly to assess the business requirements and to commission MACSwms, the core warehouse management system. Within a few months, and after an initial stock take to upload the correct data, the system was up and running.

“As well as stock movements we also needed to control the materials used during re-drumming operations,” explained Tim Gettings from the company. “MACS Software, had the in-house skills to write bespoke software and integrate it with the core product, to manage our use of pallets and drums as well as the product itself.”
