We were delighted recently to welcome a group of delegates from National Medical Stores, Uganda for a variety of advanced training courses in our Lutterworth offices. Following a review visit to Entebbe by the MACS team in November 2013, the MACS implementation and Ugandan financial/warehousing teams identified areas for further improvement to the overall operation – essential to support the ballooning distribution demands being placed on NMS by the Ugandan government.
Training topics included all aspects of MACSwms and the Sage Line 500 ERP system.
NMS is an autonomous Government Corporation established in 1993 by Parliament to procure, store and distribute essential medicines and health supplies, primarily to Government health facilities in Uganda.
The mission of NMS is to ensure that the Ugandan population is provided efficiently with affordable, good quality pharmaceuticals. MACS is delighted to be involved in such a worthy and life saving venture.
MACS and NMS have worked together successfully since 2009, when we installed an rf MACSwms system (together with our Purchase Order and Journey Planning modules) linked to Sage Line 500.
